This project held in 2015 is sponsored by Daewoo Shipbuilding and aims to develop a hybrid foundation for subsea manifolds. The foundation consists of a shallow skirted foundation combined with suction caissons. Results from centrifuge tests and numerical simulations demonstrate that the composite foundation offers good resistance to lateral loads and bending moments, while also ensuring ease of installation and showing strong application potential.
